We’re Proud to Support International Businesses During the Pandemic
COVID-19 has greatly impacted industries around the world and shaken the global economy. Businesses large and small have had far more difficulty staying afloat in these uncertain times, which is why we’re proud to say that we continue to support international suppliers that provide beautiful, high-quality materials.
Quartzite is a natural stone that consists of approximately 90 – 99% quartz bound by silica and other minerals. It’s strong, durable, and can be used in indoor or outdoor applications. We have some beautiful selections of quartzite available that come from Africa and Brazil. Namib Sky (Africa) features waves of silver, black, and grey veins that moved across the quartzite linearly on a pale white backdrop. The stark dark-colored veining on Namib Sky gives it a stunning contrast and visual interest that makes it a beautiful focal point in any home.
Types of Quartzite
Aquarelle Premium, from Brazil, is a type of quartzite that has the soothing appearance of marble mixed with granite. The background colors are typically white or cream-colored, with gorgeous deep ocean blue streaks and blue-gray flecks. Macaubas classic, also from Brazil, is a stately white to cream-colored quartzite that has random deep charcoal veins that provide a clean, elegant, yet trendy appearance. Traditionally, quartzite is only available in slabs, due to its uniqueness, high-cost, and premium quality. We’re one of the few companies in the US that carry both slab and prefabricated quartzite. We also offer our quartzite and quartz prefabricated products with miter edging, which is typically only available on custom jobs.
We also offer a variety of quartz from Malaysia, including Calacatta Staturio, Calacatta Stream, Calacatta Ivy, Calacatta Glacier, Antigozo Staturio, and Bianco Carrara. Quartz is an engineered stone made from quartz particles that are bonded together with resin and pigments. It’s non-porous and requires very little maintenance, but it’s recommended for indoor use only. The appearance of these quartz varieties vary, but they all tend to be soft, clean white with striking gray veining that mimics the appearance of marble. Any of these make an elegant choice for kitchens or bathrooms.
